Fryeburg, Maine is the oldest town in Oxford County and is most well known for its annual Fryeburg Fair. Visitors from all around New England travel here for the week of festivities in early October, which feature pig scrambles, apple crisp, horse races, live entertainment, rides and games, and much much more.
The town is also home to Fryeburg Academy, a private preparatory school, that is free for all school aged residents. Fryeburg is just a short 15 minute ride to North Conway and skiing in the White Mountains. If summertime is more to your liking, Sebago and the Lakes Region of Maine are easily accessed through neighboring Bridgeton.
