Often referred to as the gateway to the Mt. Washington Valley and the White Mountains, Albany is one of the smallest towns in the area. For that reason, Albany uses Conway's Post Office and Zip Code. To the west, the town borders the White Mountain National Forest and it is also home to the famous Kancamangus Highway.
Many homes in Albany offer views of the towering Mt. Chocorua and surrounding peaks which are only the beginning of the dramatic White Mountains. These peaks are very well traveled with dozens of hiking trails traversing each side.
